Greasepaint performance Academy
Greasepaint was launched in 2009 to provide a fun, friendly and engaging environment where young people can express themselves creatively. We pride ourselves on combining a nurturing and vibrant atmosphere with high production values. We set out to help young people develop, not only as skilled performers, but as individuals.
The main aims are to:
• Build confidence, self assurance, tolerance and trust
• Encourage an enthusiasm to try new things
• Improve on articulation, posture, listening, co-ordination & communication
• Build a colourful imagination
• Develop talent, skills and knowledge
• Make new friends and have lots of fun!
Tots classes (morning sessions - ages 2.5yrs to 4yrs)
Our Greasepaint Tots sessions take children (and parents!) on wonderful fun-filled adventures. The aim is to help develop a colourful imagination, to learn to work with other children and to build confidence. Sessions include lots of games, songs, dancing, playing instruments, dressing
up and lots more!
Minis Performing Arts (after school session - ages 4 to 6)
Our Greasepaint Mini's Performing Arts sessions introduce children to the basics of singing, dance and drama through fun filled adventures. The aim is to help develop a colourful imagination, to learn to work with other children and to build confidence. Sessions include lots of games, songs, dancing, drama adventures, dressing up and lots more!
Drama stars sessions (after school sessions ages 7 - 11 years)
Drama is a fantastic subject for developing confidence, spontaneity and creative expression. Through group and individual work our students learn essential vocal skills, such as projection and pronunciation while covering a range of performance styles including comedy, physical theatre, devising plus much more. Sessions include drama games, and fun drama adventures helping to develop both acting and the all important life skills.
Musical Theatre (after school sessions for 7-11 years)
Our musical theatre sessions are high energy and fun packed! Students who have a passion for acting, singing and dancing, will enjoy mastering the theatricality and musical power of the West End.
Private LAMDA lessons (acting exams) on a one to one basis....
Whether it's LAMDA acting, musical theatre, devising, public speaking or speaking of verse and prose, Rachel (who has a 100% pass rate) can guide you through your LAMDA examinations. All LAMDA examinations encourage a clear speaking voice and good body language, skills for life - while the higher grade exams carry UCAS points.
